Dear Pilot,
My wife and I are recent residents of the community of Alpine east of San Diego. We purchased a lot in January 2018 and just completed building a new home last February. While working on our property during the building of our home last summer, we began noticing a high volume of civilian small aircraft flying over our home and surrounding neighborhood which began in the early morning and continued non-stop until the sun set.
We were taken aback with the constant airplane noise and then some planes continuously circling our property as they performed a variety of maneuvers, so much for the peace and quiet we were hoping for. Our lives and quality of life are being seriously affected and the use of our property is being affected by the invasion of privacy from the air and the constant plane noise each and every day.
Your actions are destroying not just the use of our home, but countless others who call Alpine home. I “joke” to my wife I am so thankful we live next to the “Alpine Airport”, oooppps, Alpine doesn’t have an airport.
We are also very concerned about our property values and are now seriously considering selling our lovely, new home and moving to get away from the constant sound and vision of civilian small aircraft in the skies at any given moment. We come home from running errands and as soon as we open the car door we hear an airplane engine somewhere above us practicing.
Please go fly over your neighborhood and leave us in peace and quiet.
